A Growing Defense Team
In 2024, Steven L. Duckett, Jr., Esq. joined Battlefield Law Group as a partner, bringing more than two decades of experience and a fierce reputation as a dedicated criminal defense attorney. Known for his courtroom presence, strategic insight, and genuine care for his clients, Mr. Duckett’s addition marked an exciting new chapter for the firm.
Today, Nicole H. Naum, Steven L. Duckett, Jr., Lili R. O’Connell, Tyler D. Andrehsen, and Robert W. Yurkowski form a skilled and dedicated legal team united by their passion for defending the accused. With their collective experience and collaborative approach, Battlefield Law Group continues to set a higher standard for criminal, DUI, and traffic defense representation across Northern Virginia and Central Virginia.

The story of Battlefield Law Group, PLLC is one of growth, resilience, and a relentless commitment to justice.
In 2015, Nicole H. Naum, Esq. founded her first firm as Naum Law Firm, just six years after passing the Virginia Bar. That solo venture later evolved into Naum Estevez, PLLC, where Ms. Naum and her team built a strong reputation in criminal defense, traffic, DUI, civil, and family law.
In 2023, with a clear vision and renewed purpose, Nicole rebranded the practice as Battlefield Law Group, PLLC, focusing exclusively on criminal defense, DUI, and traffic cases. The name “Battlefield” is more than a nod to the historic battlefields of Old Town Manassas. It reflects the firm’s unwavering dedication to fighting for its clients with tenacity, skill, and heart.
At Battlefield Law Group, it is not about whose name is on the door. It is about the people we serve. We believe in standing shoulder to shoulder with our clients, navigating their legal battles with integrity, determination, and a deep sense of responsibility.
Rooted in Northern Virginia
Battlefield Law Group is rooted in Northern Virginia, with our Manassas headquarters located near the Prince William County Courthouse. From that foundation, our attorneys have built a trial-focused criminal defense firm serving clients across Northern Virginia, including Prince William, Fairfax, Stafford, Fauquier, Loudoun, and Culpeper.
Our team is known for detailed preparation, strategic advocacy, and a willingness to litigate when the deal on the table is not good enough. Whether a case involves a misdemeanor, DUI, traffic offense, serious felony, or complex criminal allegation, we prepare with the client’s future in mind.
A New Chapter: Expanding to Central Virginia
As Battlefield Law Group continues to grow, we are opening a new satellite office in Forest, Virginia, serving clients in the Lynchburg metro area and Central Virginia. This expansion allows our firm to bring the same trial-focused preparation, attentive client service, and criminal defense experience we are known for in Northern Virginia to clients facing criminal, DUI, and traffic charges in Lynchburg, Bedford, Campbell, Amherst, Appomattox, and surrounding Central Virginia communities.
Leading our presence in the Lynchburg area is Robert W. Yurkowski, Esq., who brings years of strategic and compassionate criminal defense experience to Battlefield Law Group. Before joining the firm, Robert served as a public defender in Lynchburg, giving him meaningful experience representing people facing criminal charges in the local court system.
His background, steady approach, and commitment to client-centered defense make him an important part of this next chapter for Battlefield Law Group.
