Nicole Naum is a highly respected criminal defense attorney with over 15 years of experience defending clients across Northern Virginia. As the founder of Battlefield Law Group, PLLC, Nicole is known for her unwavering dedication to protecting her clients' rights, offering empowering representation in both misdemeanor and felony cases. After earning her Juris Doctor from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law in 2008, Nicole embarked on a career dedicated to criminal defense. Her academic foundation in Mathematical Sciences from the University of Michigan gives her a sharp analytical edge, allowing her to assess cases from a unique perspective. This skill, combined with her extensive trial experience, has made her a formidable advocate in the courtroom.
Nicole's excellence in criminal law has earned her numerous accolades. She is a multi-year recipient of the Super Lawyers Rising Star Award (2014, 2015, 2018-2022) and was named Prince William County General District Court Attorney of the Year in 2013. Q&A with Nicole
What is your goal for Battlefield Law Group this year? My top priority for Battlefield Law Group this year is to deliver exceptional legal representation and exceed client expectations. We also aim to expand further into Virginia, allowing us to serve even more clients with the high-quality advocacy they deserve.
What continues to drive you to be a defense attorney? My desire to passionately defend individuals stems from a belief in a better future for everyone regardless of where they are right now. I believe every client has the potential and I'm committed to help make that possible.
Who inspires you in life? It may sound cliché, but my son is my greatest inspiration. He motivates me to work toward a better future for him, but he also reminds me to embrace the present. He focuses on making the most of every moment, without concern for any praise he might receive later.
What is something you are passionate about outside of the courtroom? I love spending time with my family and hiking with my dog, Boo, but lately, I've also found great fulfillment in volunteering in our community.
