Assault and Domestic-Related Charges

The cases handled by each office may vary, so contact us if you are unsure whether we handle your particular matter.
Can you represent me if I live outside Virginia?
Yes, we regularly represent people who live outside Virginia but are facing criminal or traffic matters in the jurisdictions we serve, including out-of-state drivers and CDL holders.
Depending on the case, some meetings may be handled virtually, and your attorney will let you know whether you need to appear in person for court.
Which attorney will handle my case?
That depends on the type of case, where it is being heard, attorney availability, and other circumstances.
Clients generally have a primary attorney responsible for their case, while other attorneys or team members may also assist with strategy, preparation, or court proceedings when appropriate.
How will I communicate with my attorney and legal team?
Clients receive contact information for their legal team and may communicate by phone, text, or email depending on the situation.
Our attorneys and legal staff work together to keep clients informed about court dates, case developments, documents, and other important information.
FEES & REPRESENTATION
How does Battlefield Law Group charge for legal services?
Many criminal, DUI/DWI, and traffic matters are handled for a flat fee. Other matters may be billed differently depending on the type and complexity of the case.
Fees and payment arrangements are discussed before representation begins so you understand the cost of hiring the firm.
Do you offer payment plans?
Financing through Affirm may be available to qualifying clients. Other payment details and options, when applicable, are discussed directly with your attorney based on the circumstances of the case.
What happens after I hire Battlefield Law Group?
Every case is different, but the process generally begins with entering our appearance as your attorneys, obtaining and reviewing available case information and evidence, discussing strategy with you, and preparing for court.
As the case develops, your attorney will explain important decisions, court appearances, negotiations, and potential outcomes.
Will I have to go to court?
It depends on the charge and the court.
Some traffic matters may allow an attorney to appear without the client when the court permits it and the appropriate paperwork is completed. Criminal and DUI/DWI cases are more likely to require your appearance.
Your attorney will let you know whether you need to attend each court date.
How long will my case take?
There is no single timeline that applies to every case. The court, type of charge, evidence, motions, negotiations, and whether a case proceeds to trial can all affect how long the process takes.
Your attorney can give you a better idea of what to expect after reviewing your particular case.
Do you have resources to help me understand my charges?
Yes. You can always call our team with questions, but we also work hard to provide helpful information about the legal issues our clients face.
Visit our blog for articles about criminal defense, DUI/DWI, traffic offenses, record sealing, gun rights, and other Virginia legal matters. You can also find educational videos from our attorneys on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube.
HAVE ANOTHER QUESTION?
You do not need to have everything figured out before calling us.
Whether your case is in Northern Virginia or the Lynchburg area, Battlefield Law Group can help you understand the charge, what happens next, and whether our firm is the right fit for your situation.
