In 2026, Rob Yurkowski joined Battlefield Law Group as a defense attorney for our new satellite office in Forest, VA. He represents clients throughout the Lynchburg area, including the City of Lynchburg and Bedford, Campbell, Amherst, Appomattox, and Nelson counties, in a wide range of criminal, traffic, and DUI/DWI matters. Known for his relentless advocacy and commanding courtroom presence, Rob approaches every case with the understanding that criminal charges can have life-changing consequences. He prepares each matter as though he himself were facing the charges, combining strategic preparation with genuine compassion for the people he represents. His clients know him as an attorney who listens carefully, fights tirelessly, and remains steadfast through every stage of the legal process.

Rob has appeared in Circuit, Juvenile & Domestic Relations, and General District Courts throughout the Lynchburg area and surrounding jurisdictions. His experience as a public defender gave him extensive courtroom and trial experience across a broad spectrum of criminal cases. That foundation continues to shape his practice today, as he handles many of the same offenses he defended earlier in his career while steadily expanding his practice to include more serious and complex criminal matters.

Before returning to Virginia, Rob spent two years practicing in Florida in the area of wills, trusts, and estates. However, his and his wife’s deep connection to the Lynchburg area ultimately brought them back to the Commonwealth, where he went on to serve as a public defender for several years. That experience further strengthened his reputation as a compassionate advocate and fierce defender for individuals facing difficult circumstances.

Originally from Westchester, New York, Rob has long-standing ties to Virginia through his extended family and has built both his career and family life in the Commonwealth. He is a member of the Virginia State Bar and the Lynchburg Bar Association. Among colleagues, he is widely respected as a force in the courtroom, known for his confidence, preparation, and unwavering dedication to his clients.

Rob earned both his Bachelor’s degree and Juris Doctor from Liberty University. Outside of the courtroom, he enjoys staying active through running, golfing, and hiking. He is an avid football fan and values spending time with his wife and son above all else.
