Our Favorite Places to Eat in Manassas, VA: A Local Guide from Battlefield Law Group
A local guide from Battlefield Law Group, because we take our cases seriously… and our food almost as serious.
At Battlefield Law Group, we work hard for our clients, whether we’re fighting a DUI charge, defending a criminal case, or helping someone navigate the court system. But when it’s time to eat? We don’t mess around there either.
Located in the heart of Old Town Manassas, our team has easy access to some of the best food spots in Northern Virginia. From quick lunches between court appearances to happy-hour hangouts, these are the restaurants and coffee shops we actually go to. No sponsored lists, no fluff, just local favorites from people who live and work right here.
Sumo Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi Bar
In our opinion, Sumo offers some of the best hibachi-style dining period. With friendly service and consistently fresh, flavorful dishes, Sumo delivers generous portions that are perfect for sharing. Whether you're in the mood for sizzling hibachi with noodles and rice, or something lighter like sushi and sashimi, the menu has something for everyone. Bonus: They have a solid wine and sake list too.
Long Time No Sea
A casual, New Orleans–inspired seafood restaurant with bold flavors, fresh oysters, and build-your-own seafood boils. It’s a casual, family-friendly place where everyone puts on bibs and gloves, rolls up their sleeves, and digs in. The food is flavorful, the vibe is laid-back, and it's the kind of spot where you’ll end up laughing through a messy, delicious meal. *Messy is optional, they definitely have other great food besides the boils, including pastas and fried basket combos.
Monza
Located in the heart of Old Town Manassas, Monza is not just a team favorite, but it is a local hotspot, and it’s no secret that it’s one of Nicole Naum’s go-to spots. Whether you're heading out for a quick lunch, looking to unwind during Happy Hour, or enjoying a relaxed dinner, Monza delivers consistently solid food and a welcoming atmosphere.
The restaurant offers a wide selection of brick oven pizzas, pastas, oysters, and craft drinks, including a few impressive non-alcoholic options. The space is large, the service is attentive, and on weekends, you might even catch live music playing nearby. It’s easygoing, stylish, and one of the best all-around dining experiences in the Manassas area.
Zandra’s Taqueria
Zandra’s is a fun, flavorful spot in Old Town Manassas, perfect for a casual lunch or rooftop dinner. The vibrant decor, upstairs bar, and lively atmosphere make it a local favorite, especially during First Friday events.
You can mix and match tacos with bold options like the Reuben taco or bourbon-glazed meats, and their nachos are generously stacked and full of flavor. The margaritas are refreshing, and the service is consistently friendly and attentive. It’s a great place to grab a bite, watch a game, or unwind after a long day.
Honey & Ivy
Just around the corner from our office, Honey & Ivy is one of our go-to spots for a matcha latte and a mid-day treat. This 100% gluten-free bakery and café is filled with natural light, live plants, and a calm, cozy vibe.
The menu features elevated lattes, vegan-friendly bites, and baked goods that are anything but ordinary. The cookies are perfectly soft, and the cinnamon rolls served on the weekends are amazing. Everything is created with intention, and you would never guess it's gluten-free. Whether you have dietary restrictions or just appreciate thoughtful food, Honey & Ivy definitely deserves a visit.
Katerina’s Greek Cuisine
Katerina’s isn’t just one of our team’s favorite spots in Manassas — we also trust them to cater our firm’s holiday parties. Their Greek cuisine is always a hit, especially when we’re trying to please a variety of palates.
What truly sets this place apart is the quality and freshness of the ingredients. Even the most straightforward dishes, warm pita, grilled meats, and lemon potatoes, are executed with care. While there are plenty of decent Greek restaurants out there, Katerina’s consistently rises above the rest. It’s welcoming, consistent, and deeply satisfying in a way that keeps us coming back. Katerina’s is great lunch spot, but also has a classic elegance that is perfect for a nice dinner or celebration.
