When you open a new law firm office, it is important to plant local roots and become part of the community. Fortunately, our Lynchburg-area defense attorney, **Rob Yurkowski**, is already a local resident with a few favorites of his own. We have encouraged him to do a little more exploring between client consultations and handling new cases, and he put together this Saturday itinerary featuring a mix of personal favorites and local businesses, artists and entrepreneurs worth discovering throughout Lynchburg and the surrounding area.

Start your morning at the Lynchburg Community Market, where you can browse local farmers, fresh produce, baked goods, handcrafted items and regional vendors. While you are there, stop by Father’s Cafe & Bakery, one of Rob’s favorite spots for a great cup of coffee before exploring the market.

For something creative, head to Riverviews Artspace from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. for the Bespoke Tote Bag Workshop. This no-sew workshop gives participants the chance to design a custom tote bag, with no previous experience necessary.

Next, take a short drive to Amherst for Strawberry Sangria Saturday at Lazy Days Winery from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Enjoy strawberry sangria, live music and vineyard views while experiencing another local favorite just outside Lynchburg.

After the winery, return to downtown Lynchburg for a stroll along the Bluffwalk. Take in views of the James River, explore the public art and enjoy one of downtown’s most distinctive walking areas. When it is time for dinner, stop by Hueso Loco Urban Cantina, located just off the Bluffwalk. Enjoy a flavorful Mexican meal and explore handcrafted drinks designed to be as visually creative as they are delicious.

Finish the evening with something sweet at MayLynn’s Creamery Downtown. Whether you choose soft serve, rolled ice cream, a sundae or a milkshake, it is an easy way to end a full day of exploring Lynchburg.
